A five-minute check-in
Name the weather in your head, pick one next step, and stop there.
You do not have to journal three pages for it to count.
The five minutes
- Sit down. Put both feet on the floor.
- Name the weather: tense, flat, buzzy, sad, fine, mixed.
- Ask: what does the next hour need? Not the year.
- Pick one small next step, or pick rest if that is the honest answer.
- Stop. Do not turn it into a self-improvement project.
